Ed announces his sixth album "Subtract" - A new era for Sheerios
The music world is buzzing as Ed Sheeran, also known as "Teddy", has just announced the release of his brand new album entitled "Subtract". This highly anticipated sixth studio album from the British artist will be released on May 5th, 2023, following his last album "Equals" released in 2021.
After a two-year break since his last album release, Ed is back with a new opus that promises to make waves. "Subtract" will feature collaborations with some of the biggest names in music, but Ed has also promised solo songs that explore new sounds and themes.
In a recent interview, Teddy said, "I'm so excited to release this album, it's probably the most personal I've ever done. I've been working on it for almost two years and I've put my heart and soul into every song. I can't wait for the Sheerios to hear it and I hope they love it as much as I do."

The announcement of Subtract made me feel a lot of different emotions, and I guess all of us felt them for many reasons.
I also felt, and I still feel, a bit nostalgic because now I'm truly realizing Subtract will complete this series which means so much to me.
It's been a wild ride for Ed and for us, more than 10 years of career with many achievements, not just in music, but also in life.
He was a 20 years old guy from Suffolk and now he is a man with a family who's "on the top of the mountain", remaining the humble, sweet and polite person he was at the beginning, but with more confidence and with many more fans who love him!
While for what concerns me, I was almost 13 when I knew him and I was about to finish middle school...
It was a though period and yesterday Ed's caption really touched me a lot because I've experienced similar situations which only a few people know, since I've never been a complaining person and so I linked his words to the reason why I quickly became his fan in 2016. He has always been there for me since then and he made me feel less alone and understood...Basically he has been by my side for almost 1/3 of my life.
And now I'm almost 20, attending my dream uni and having collected many memories related to him through the years, mostly thanks to this page, one of the best decisions I've ever made!
I've waited for this album for 6 years, I imagined it many times and obviously never in this way because nobody could imagine what happened last year for Ed and his family, but now I think Subtract has to be like this and I really hope writing it all over again helped him somehow. I know I'll get emotional because I'll relate with some songs a lot. I'm sure it will be wonderful and in the end it will be the best way to close the series 💛
